Wanted In Rome

Founded in 1985 by two expats who saw that Rome's English-speaking community had no central source of information, Wanted in Rome is a monthly English-language magazine and daily news site covering the city. It publishes news, culture, classifieds, housing listings and a comprehensive What's On calendar, and it remains the primary reference point for English speakers living in or visiting Rome. It operates as part of the Wanted World Wide network, alongside a sister publication in Milan and coverage extending to Florence, Naples, Venice and Turin.

Within the What's On calendar, Wanted in Rome maintains a dedicated Charity category. This is where the city's English-speaking philanthropic activity surfaces — fundraising dinners, benefit concerts, charity markets, auctions and appeals, all published in English with dates, venues and contact details.

Because the listings run in English rather than Italian, this section functions as a rare access point. A visitor looking to spend an evening supporting local work in Rome would otherwise need to navigate Italian-language non-profit sites individually.
